I finally had to do it – I had to turn on the heat last night!  It was almost 90 degrees on Monday and last night we were down to 45.  So the thought of something cozy and warm to eat led me to this scrumptious Slow Cooker Chicken Noodle Soup by Laura Powell from Real Mom Kitchen!  A SLOW COOKER version of Chicken Soup – I’m IN!!!

I know for some of you the weather is still warm – and those lucky ones who have warm weather year-round (jealous) – but we all need a good dose of comfort food now and again.  Plus it never hurts to plan ahead and make some to freeze!

As I was searching online (on an empty stomach) for something yummy – I stumbled upon the Real Mom Kitchen.  Laura has a huge collection of delicious recipes – and she’s even published 3 cookbooks!  You can check out her website -> HERE!

I REALLY like that she made this recipe extra easy by using rotisserie chicken in place of boiling your own chicken.  That’s a great prep time saver.  You’ll find the recipe for her Slow Cooker Chicken Soup -> HERE

This recipe is on my “To-Do” list this week – and I hope to make enough to freeze (If we don’t eat it all.).

Now I need your suggestions!  What type of recipes would you like to see for our next weeks SUNDAY YUMMIES???  Please let me know in the comments below.

  • I’d love to stay in touch with you.  Look at where it says “Follow Blog Via Email” on this page – and add your email. You’ll be notified when something new is posted! 🙂

As for the noodles – you can substitute other similar wide noodles! 🙂
Your roast sounds delicious – and I love how roasts taste even better the next day.
