Day 1 – Welcome To “Jacque’s Journey”
As we begin 2022, I’d like to welcome you to Day 1 of “Jacque’s Journey” – my intentional journey of healing.
Symbolically, the start of a new year often brings the inspiration for people to make resolutions to “change” some things in their lives. I’m not new to making new year’s resolutions, and I’m very skilled at failing at them, but this year I must make some very important changes.
I will be diving into more of the specifics of my “Journey” each day.
The pandemic set me back in so many ways – as it has many other people. I do keep those we have lost during this time in my heart and prayers. However, the downward spiral I’ve felt over the last couple years has finally made me say “enough is enough”.
So, starting today: January 1, 2022 I plan to come here daily to write about the things I’m working on to improve my life. Documenting my progress through the year will hold me accountable. But most importantly – I will remind myself that progress can be made in small steps – and allow for slip ups – as long as I learn something valuable that ultimately helps me adapt new, positive life habits.
