Hi Friends! I’m compiling a list of FREE things that we can do “virtually” online while most of us are still staying home during this COVID-19 quarantine time. As school is winding down, there’s going to be quite a bit of free time coming up for students and parents who have been helping with home schooling! I’ve seen so many great things that people have done to keep themselves entertained and productive – and many of them have been free to do!
Do you know of any FREE online offerings, like free virtual tours of museums or zoo’s; free art, cooking, or language lessons; free online educational courses; free meditation sessions; free home gardening classes; etc.? Please post any suggestions in the comments below! I’d love to find things for people of every age! I’ll get the list together ASAP!

Hi Jacque! I absolutely love the “explore.org” website! They have many, many video cameras from all over the world, all free and free of commercials. Explore features cameras from Hawaii, China’s pandas, aquariums, Alaska’s wild bears from Katmai National Park, Canada’s Aurora Borealis, Service Dog Project (my favorite camera) which trains Great Danes for the mobility challenged and also has rescued donkeys from Equine Rescue Network of which one is due to have her baby within the week and many, many more. The founder of Explore (from the Annenberg family/Reader’s Digest) has a mission of “always keep learning” and I have! Please check this worth while site out; you will not be disappointed. Great learning and many educational videos for all ages!
Thank you so much Pat for the great suggestion!!! I can’t wait to go check it out – and add it to the list!!! If you think of anything else, please let me know!!! Stay safe and healthy!!!
Not sure if this is exactly what you’re looking for, but a few sites I like for learning are:
Hillsdale College–lectures on U.S. History
Prager U–Short videos on history, politics, philosophy, and ideas.
The Art of Improvement–presents videos of ways to approach life.
Great suggestions John! I’m hoping to collect any free sites that allow us to grow! Thank you! Hope you’re safe and healthy!
