I’ve got a question for you…
Do you currently or have you ever ordered any type of the many “Box” subscriptions offered???
There are boxes for BEAUTY (Ipsy, Julep Maven, Birchbox, New Beauty Test Tube, etc.)
There are boxes for PETS (Bark Box)
There are boxes for MEAL PREP (Blue Apron)
There are boxes for FASHION (Stitch Fix)
…and I’ve found boxes with jewelry, educational toys, kids clothes, relaxation items…and the options keep going!
What about subscription boxes for MEN???
I’d love to know which boxes you’ve subscribed to and how you liked them! Was it worth the price?
ALSO, can you let me know the names of some subscription boxes that HAVEN’T been mentioned in the comments below??? I’m making a GIANT list of all of them to start giving them a “Test Drive“!!!
What are some of the most unique and unusual boxes that are out there??? (That’s what I’m excited to discover!)
I think that a lot of the subscription boxes are a really fun way to discover NEW things – and that’s what I want to do with all of you!
Please leave me your suggestions below!

I have ipsy and dollar shave club
We have ordered weekly for over a year and half from Hello Fresh. You can pause a week, if have other plans. Great food. You pick from several choices. Then the last 6 months, we switch off with Home Chef. Which ever menus we like. We get 3 dinners.
FabFitFun was fun a few times. More young people stuff.
My husband subscribes to Dollar Shave Club. He likes it. Has all kinds of mens grooming products, besides razors, which are a lot cheaper than grocery stores.
I’ve used Birchbox, Ipsy, Target, Walmart, allure, beauty test tube, Sephora play etc. I liked them but ended up with stockpiles product. Of all I’d say allure was my fave. My friend like fab fit fun. Also I’ve done hello fresh and have been super happy with it.
I get FabFitFun, Stitch Fix and Wantables. I love them all. I used to do Ipsy, but never used many of the products and they were samples. FabFitFun has full size products and it’s only 4 times a year. Stitch Fix and Wantables can be a little pricey but very easy to return if you want.
I used to get a couple of different cosmetic type boxes when I was working. Now that I’m retired, I’m pretty much casual and little makeup. However, recently I discovered Dia&Co., which is a clothing boxed service for plus size curvy gals. Hallelujah!! I have only gotten 1 box so far, but of the 5 items they sent, I loved 4 of them. It’s so difficult to find plus size clothing when you’re 65, but feel 35!!! The stylist I was assigned really listened to everything I had to say about what I did and did not want. You can get the boxes monthly, every other month, or whenever you decide. I love that feature. It’s a little pricey, but if you buy all 5 items, you get a big discount. So far, so good, I’m expecting my next box in May as I skipped a month.
My oldest daughter bought a subscription for my teen daughter, called Fanmail. It send her a box of items from movies, tv shows, comics, books, etc. All kinds of unique items. So cool,
I tried the beauty ones from QVC and I think they were pretty good.
Have never tried them, but as far as those for men, I guess there’s that one where you can get razors. And I think there’s a service to get books, although that could be for either gender.
I have only ordered a couple of box items twice from QVC. Not that impressed.
I Subscribe to Sephora Flash Box it has some good things to try.
I currently subscribe to fab fit fun, stitchfix, and bark box. I used to do birchbox and blue apron. It gets costly though but i do love it!! Its fun to mix them up. I would like to try the fragrance one bur forgot the name of it.
Boxy Charm has been my favorite of the makeup subscription boxes. Ipsy isn’t all that great, imo. Walmart has a $5.00 quarterly beauty box and Target also has a $7.00 beauty box. They are both hit or miss. FabFitFun is probably my favorite of all boxes. It is lifestyle with some beauty thrown in.
I have Birchbox and have been a member for years. I like it but am not sure I’m going to continue as I don’t always use all of the samples I get. I also get FabFitFun and love it! I’m also into fitness and really like Barbella Bix for fitness apparel and samples. Boxycharm is awesome! 5 full sizes makeup or skin care it’s,a for $20ish a month is hard to beat.
It’s like getting presents every month, and they’re not too expensive. I’m addicted. 😁
I tried Ipsy and Walmart. I liked Walmart for us people who couldn’t afford to buy the prestige products. I finally cancelled Ipsy because they sent too much of the same thing.
I have had loot crate for two years. I like it. I also have a deadpool corps one that someone in my family subscribes to and i get most of the contents for that as presents for the year. i like them both
I subscribe to Birchbox and Wal-Mart Beauty Box. Both are nice, BirchBox gives you 5 beauty samples vs. Wal-Mart Beauty Box which gives usually between 6 or 7 plus coupons.
I do not subscribe to any, but I am tempted to try the Christmas one. I’ve watched some videos from some of the different months, and there always seems to be an overabundance of really great items!!
Boxy Charm and Allure….Boxy Charm is the best!
I get FabFitFun, and I’m absolutely in love. It comes 4x per year, so I actually have an entire season to use all of the (full-sized) products, and I never feel like I have too much or can’t use anything. There’s always a wide-variety of products-beauty, workout, fashion, jewelry, and if there’s ever something I don’t like or know I won’t use/wear, everything is high-quality so I don’t mind gifting it to friends. You can customize your box to some degree so you’re more likely to get items that you’ll love. Highly recommended!
I am interested in what others say as well. I have seen so many different ones and some have peeked my interest. I wish I could tell you but I have not tried any myself.
I got my sister a Boxycharm subscription for her birthday and she’s OBSESSED. It’s a beauty box but unlike most other beauty boxes, all of the products are full size (I think it’s five or six products per box). It’s like $20 a month, which is an amazing deal considering the quality and quantity of products you get. She loves it so much she told me she plans to keep the subscription going once my gift runs out!
Oh! If you decide to sign up, text me or send me a message on FB and I’ll send you an invite—I’ll get a referral credit!
I have been with New Beauty Test Tube since it first came on QVC. There are times I have loved everything in it and have discovered a lot of things I have purchased after trying them. Lately I was not happy with the past few boxes— same old Mally pale pink lip gloss AGAIN.. dark red matte lip gloss from an unknown company that looked like it should be at the Dollar Store.. same old Its A 10 leave in conditioner— finally I cancelled it last month. I just signed up with Fab, Fit, Fun and hope it will live up to my expectations.
I subscribe to Julep (Maven) and have been a “member” for over a year. I like it a lot. It’s very flexible, they send you an email showing you what they are sending in your monthly box. If you don’t like any or all items you can swap out as many or few as you like or you also have the option to send your box to a friend or skip it all together. Julep gives you approx 5 days to make your changes from the day they email you, same dates each month. I find myself going to Ulta, Sally, etc. less often now that I receive my Julep Maven boxes so I would say it is definitely a money saver!
I’ve never ordered the subscription boxes but I have shopped with jet.com and boxed.com (maybe box.com). Check them out.
I have received the Allure Beauty Box and Birchbox before. I just restarted my Birchbox beauty box subscription. I like to try new beauty products.
My Friend next door Gets BARKBOX for her Dog Lacie, she Loved it! When we first got Sara, she got us “1” too! We started getting it a few times, but I DIDN’T like the treats they sent. VERY HESIDANT if they were safe. Rawhide was in them. Sara DOESN’T get it, don’t trust it. The TOYS are ADORABLE! Going back to Lacie. She started eating the inside of the toys, she started getting sick, okay now. If Sara starts to destroy a TOY, it is HISTORY, it goes right in the GARBAGE. Hope this helps my friend, had to share! HUGS, Sandy
I’ve had Ipsy, Birchbox…loved them both..what fun to get this surprise in the mail..thinks I didn’t like I just passed along…
Home chef is great..love the recipes..
I’ve sent bark box and rescue box..love them both!
I subscribe toFabFitFun but I have only gotten one box. I really like it. I heard Thrive has subscription box for groceries, beauty and pet supplies and they have a great first time discount.
