The Tree That I’m Obsessed With

There’s a tree in the neighborhood that I’m obsessed with.

I take pictures of it all the time – during every season – sunrise to sunset. Anytime it catches my eye – I stop and take some pictures.

Today I noticed that a single crow had decided to take a brief rest up in its bare branches.

I couldn’t help but wonder where the other crows were – was this crow an adventure seeker out on its own – or perhaps lonely and feeling left out.

Sometimes when we set out on our own it can be adventurous and fun – no limits! But after a while being solo doesn’t seem to reap the same rewards as being able to share that with others.

Yes, today I spent a moment pondering the life of that crow. And it made me realize that while I like being independent – without my family and friends my life wouldn’t be as fulfilling.

It’s funny that a single crow in a tree took me down that thought path today – but that’s the beauty of being open to interpretation- and allowing it to unfold before your eyes and heart.
