…after seeing my doctor last week and reviewing a crazy amount of blood work results … I’m being proactively treated for Lyme Disease (I came up positive under only one indicator for Lyme – and I live in an area where there are HIGH cases of it – so rather than wait, I’m on an antibiotic for a month.) – and my doctor feels that my pain, the locations of the pain, fatigue, brain fog, and the fact that I’m Epstein Barr Virus positive (I have been for many years) – that I could have Fibromyalgia.
So…now what???
I also have a follow up mammogram ultrasound this month, and he wants to check my gallbladder via ultrasound after the IBS issues I’ve been experiencing (before he has me do a colonoscopy.).
I’ve been reading a lot about Fibromyalgia – and how important exercise is to help with the pain. I need to look into yoga again – something slow to help my shoulders. But I hurt too much right now to start – and really hoping for a little relief so I can get myself going.
Then to top it off…Theresa is now sick with Strep. She’s had some bad swelling and hives – the after being seen at an urgent care location and being prescribed amoxicillin (which she’s always taken for illness) – she had a bad reaction last night and we went to the ER. She’s possibly allergic now to amoxicillin and they switched her over to a Z-Pack. She’s doing much better today – and the amoxicillin from yesterday is almost out of her system.
So Theresa’s home today from school recuperating and resting – and I’m so relieved that she’s doing better.
I’m going to look at it that things can only get better from here … 🤞🏻 Right?
All I want to do is get us both healthier and then get to finish editing my first few YouTube videos to get posted on my channel. I just need some magic fairy dust to get me all put back together!
Thank you for your concern and prayers! I adore you all so much!

Hello Jacque! I’m so glad you and your daughter are doing better. I just got through with my 5th back surgery in 5 years (the first 4 were failed surgeries). Anyway, after this last surgery, I’m left with numbness and tingling (i.e. numbeling) in my hands which makes it hard to type and feel anything. Two things I’m looking into and you might also. 1) Is Acupuncture (which I truly will help my numbeling); and 2) Tai Chi, which is very quiet and easy on the joints and muscles. Just something to think about. Good thoughts for you and your daughter! Love, Sally
I meant to suggest that perhaps you and your daughter should take probiotics. When you take antibiotics (in the case of your daughter) it helps maintain the good stuff. But I believe that probiotics have helps me since I began taking them daily about a year and a half ago.
There are the beverages (kombucha and sparkling probiotics) that are an easy way of helping.
Prebiotic foods such as sauerkraut are also helpful.
I also have superfoods such as –blueberries, pomegranate, jicama, hummus and then nuts and seeds.
Investigate foods as medicine too.
Praying you both feel better
Sending prayers to you and Theresa.
Hang in there Jacque! Know how you feel with that nasty fibromyalgia! Some days I feel that I’ve got to be the only person in this world to feel this bad and useless. I just try to keep going on the days that I feel half way decent. Will keep you in my prayers that things improve for you—glad that your precious Theresa is improving.
Have Theresa’s doctor order a second round of z -Packs. They always prescribe one and she can have a Strep rebound after the first course. You can start her right away on Beta Glucans if she’s not allergic to yeast. Beta Glucans and lots of Ester-C cured my Jessie in three weeks from bad Strep, Mono and Hepatitis . Get her on probiotics after the z-packs to rebuild her good bacteria.
For you, my dear, Yoga is a must physically and mentally! If your Lyme tests continue to become more positive read about the world’s leading Lyme specialist who gives lectures on Martha’s Vineyard (a Lyme HOT bed) who says that 30 day course of anti-biotics is not enough, that you need a full six month course of treatment to kill all the infection!! I miss you, Dave Froment
Good thoughts and prayers for you and your daughter. Sorry you’re going through this. Take care.
Sorry to hear this news! I hope you get better and find some relief! I had written about having some issues myself right now. I have had very similar symptoms but the last few days have felt better. Only one of my blood tests came back abnormal. It is the one that shows protein? I think csr protein? It is a 14.9 level. I guess anything over 3 suggest inflammation in the body or possible infection.I have been tested for mono, lyme etc and it all came back neg. I have to see a rheumtologist next. Did your crs test come out elevated too? Please tell Theresa to feel better also!
Hi Jacque, I’m sorry for all you ‘re going through. I hope you feel better soon,
As I stated the other day I have had fibromyalgia for over 25 yrs. There are days when I forget about it and then there are days when it is screaming at me.
I am one of the fibro people who can not stand humidity or really high temps and the Midwest has had them this summer.
You and your doctor will come to a determination as to what is best for you.
My doctor does say yoga is great. I have not done it this summer because it has been so hot and because of the fibro I have a hard time cooling down my body. I do plan on getting back to it soon hopefully.
Something that helped me a lot was acupuncture. I have not done that for a good four months because the acupuncturist that I was going to retired. I am planning on hopefully going back to that as well.
I am determined though and most days I try and walk 1-2 miles each day. I push thru. My father (who I lost late last year–part of the stress that has been going thru my body) said that I do not sit still –despite having fibromyalgia. I hurt but I still have to move because if the muscles sit for too long –at least in my case then they hurt even more.
Again as I said in your previous post each person experiences this health issue differently.
Perhaps a TENS machine might be of help.
I hope that the treatment is defined and you are on your way to feeling better.
All the best to you and your daughter.
Sending prayers and love hugs to you and Theresa!
As I commented the other day, I’ve had fibromyalgia for years. I’ve tried just about everything you can for fibro. It’s trial and error in everything. What works for one, will not work for another. I would suggest looking into Devin Starlanyl’s books. Her early one Fibromyalgia and Chronic Myofascial Pain A Survival Maunual second edition, is what was a true life saver for me. It not only talks you through fibromyalgia, but also how to be your own advocate. She is a medical professional who has had fibromyalgia for many years. I really encourage you to read this book. She has newer books, but this is a sort of beginners manual. Don’t jump into doing a lot of exercise. In the meantime, try a hot Epsom salts bath with maybe a little lavender added, and a heating pad in your back or shoulders. That helps my aches. Best of luck to you.
That’s a lot to deal with. I am sorry you are suffering so much. How is Theresa? What grade is she in? Praying for the pain to subside.
Hi. I’ve had fibromyalgia since 1999 with a car accident. I have tried absolutely everything. The best advice I can give you is heat excersise stretching. Better then pills which just give you side effects. You will have to be starting in pain tho because the excersise will eventually relieve the pain. Hot tubs are great. Soaking is great even shower pounding on shoulders. Good luck !! Cleveland clinic approves B 12 injections every two weeks for fibromyalgia I live in Youngstown Ohio I get those every three weeks & again tremendous help and they give you energy which sounds like you need regardless !! Blessings
Jacque hoping you get better
I Hope you get better Jacque and your daughter.I pray to God that he will heal you🙏🏼🙏🏼
Hope you both are feeling better soon. It’s alot for you to handle all at once. Will pray for you both.
I understand what you and so many others are going through because I have the same things going on. But you know what? It’s okay to go through pain and get fed up with yourself for feeling like crap! Things could be much worse and I know through every mountain we climb in our lives we grow and learn so much about ourselves and our faith. Nothing last forever, right? Love ya!!
Geez when it rains it pours! Ive had those periods with my family it’s enough to drive you crazy! Good luck with everything hope everyone feels better!
Hang in there mama-glad you have a diagnosis. And Theresa is feeling better-kids are so resilient aren’t they?
My prayers are with you all. 💜 Carol K
Jacque-Oy!
So much going on with you!
I miss you on the Q!
I have Epstein Barr/Fibromyalgia also. I take Cymbalta and vitamin B2. I went to a nuerologist, and it helps some. Not much that you can do with these conditions.
Feel better!
Love,Denise
Many years ago I, too, was diagnosed with Fibormyalgia. The key is to stay active and have found that is really the best “medicine” for this diagnosis, for me anyway. I am almost 70 and also have arthritis everywhere but I am still active because just sitting gets a person nowhere. I wish you well and hope Theresa recovers quickly. You both will be in my prayers! Take care!!
